Develop an anti-corruption policy and control system
ISO 37001:2016

We recommend developing anti-corruption policies so that the organization can take proactive measures to prevent internal and external bribery and corruption.

The regulation is designed so that the organization is able to identify corruption regardless of its communication, direction and actors.

Bribery management is not a one-time administrative task, therefore Gill & Murry recommends creating a management system in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 37001 standard, which, integrated into the organization's everyday life, applies appropriate controls to create, implement, maintain, review and develop continuous and effective anti-corruption prevention. .

We recommend it primarily to small and medium-sized companies that want to monitor the motivational system of their own employees and transparently control the activities of business partners disguised as "promotion" or sales competition, as well as to those whose activities the average person may even maliciously suspect of abuse._cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Development of the ISO guidance system

  • The ISO 37001 standard was developed to respond to companies' growing need for proactive measures to prevent bribery and corruption. The standard is designed to help companies identify corruption and support an anti-bribery culture by defining the requirements for the successful implementation of anti-bribery management systems (ABMS).

  • The ISO 37001 standard defines requirements and provides guidance for the design, implementation, maintenance, review and development of anti-bribery management systems.

  • Focus groups of the standard:

    • Corporate work environment, including stakeholder needs and expectations

    • Commitment of managers

    • Assessment of risks and opportunities and measures to deal with them

    • Monitoring and reporting

    • Measures for continuous improvement

  • The ISO approach makes it possible for the organization to develop a basic level, but uniform and consistent operation that completely covers a chosen area. After that, by applying continuous review and even external independent audits, the organization can achieve continuous development in the field of corruption prevention.

  • It is also possible for an organization to initially define only one organizational unit within the scope of the management system, and then later extend the system to the entire organization.

Communication

The very word corruption and its communication about opposition to Partners and colleagues demonstrably reduces corruption. If the Organization introduces regular inspections, the effectiveness of the regulation can be significantly increased.

ISO 37001 certification

In many cases, the introduction of anti-corruption regulations can be communicated well to the outside world if it has been certified by an independent third party. Employees and partners are still afraid of the independent audit, even though today it significantly helps to achieve the goal of being free from corruption.

Why Gill & Murry?

Gill & Murry has significant experience in other risk-based standard implementations.
